Thirty before Thirty Bucket list

With the new year quickly approaching (insert all of the cheering here), I realized that means my 30th birthday is also coming quick. While in my 28 years, I have done a lot and have done quite a bit of traveling, there is a lot more that I want to do before turning the BIG 3 0! I am also someone who needs to cross things off my to do lists so why not create on hell of a “to do list” for the next year? Here’s my 30 before 30 list:

  1. Go hiking at Devils Lake
  2. Go hiking at Copper Falls State Park
  3. Lay out a bunch of blankets in an open area and stargaze…probably with a glass of wine because who I am as a person.
  4. Create a 2021 Memories/Good Things Jar where I write something that happened, big or little, everyday and open it up on NYE 2021.
  5. Read at least 12 books
  6. Visit a new winery or two…or five
  7. Go on a sunrise hike
  8. Send or give more handwritten cards/notes.
  9. Drive on old backroads with the windows down on a summer night with my hometown friends.
  10. Go kayaking in Apostle Islands/Bayfield area
  11. Covid permitting, visit the Multnomah Falls in Oregon
  12. Plan another girls trip
  13. Visit the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona (Hi Mom…this one’s with you!)
  14. Spend more time with the grandparents
  15. Pay off car loan
  16. Run a 5K
  17. Find an organization to volunteer regularly at
  18. Spend less money on things and more on experiences
  19. Go camping
  20. Host (or co-host) a boujee brunch
  21. Go and see the Ice Castles
  22. Plan a solo trip or a day trip to somewhere new
  23. Learn to make my own vanilla lattes (my weakness)
  24. Make my apartment a cozy haven
  25. Start saving towards a house
  26. Go on more dates
  27. Say “Yes” to at least one thing that puts me out of my comfort zone
  28. Take more pictures with family and friends
  29. Learn my Dad’s famous ribs recipe. I am telling you, these are to die for.
  30. Spend this year becoming the absolute best version of yourself!

In case you can’t tell by the themes in the list above, I love hiking and travel. These are things that I want to do more of this next year, especially since Covid did not allow much traveling. What is on your 30 before 30 or Bucket list? Are there any repeating themes?
